Which combination of countries do you suggest?

Hello. My husband and I hope to travel in April for 14-16 days. I have been to Spain, Portugal, and France. He has not been to Europe/UK. We definitely want to go to Spain. I am not sure if Spain and Italy would be best or Spain, Ireland, and England would be best (or some other combo?). I really want to see both Italy and Ireland and am torn. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

For two weeks, I would limit your travel to two countries....perhaps to experience a complete change of cultures, hit Ireland and Spain or the UK and Spain. There are excellent discount air links between the UK and Spain, if you act soon to book, making sure you're aware of all their baggage and check-in policies. Less so between Ireland and Spain, but you can connect thru the UK. If you go to Spain, fly into/out of Malaga since car rentals there are, by far, the cheapest in Spain, and you can do a circuit thru Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, and/or Granada. Try for an open-jaws (multi-city) airline ticket between your home city, and say London going out, and Malaga coming home.

As a follow....discount air links can be found at whichbudget.com, flylc.com and skyscanner.net. If using flylc, note the airlines mentioned, then go to their websites directly....do not book thru flylc or you will get a third-party booking agent. If you find a good deal, check out the major airlines as well. On most routes where there is competition with discount airlines, they will offer comparable prices, and possibly better schedules.

Research what sights you want to see in each country and then decide the ones you want to visit. Only you can decide what YOU want to see.
