Which airport-Amsterdam or Paris?

I working to plan a trip to Geneva Switzerland and the airline I am using has a stop in Paris or Amsterdam airport before a connecting flight to Geneva. Can anyone offer an opinion on which airport would be best-Paris or Amsterdam?

Amsterdam hands down. CDG airport Paris is very difficult to make connections in as the there are lots of different terminal building; the layout can be confusing. At Schipol Amsterdam, the entire airport is housed under one enormous building, so it's easier to navigate.

Second vote for Schipol. CDG... well, it's like one of those grand utopian visions for the future that looked great on paper in the 1950s and 60s, but doesn't work so well in reality.

I would choose Amsterdam Schipol. In my opinion, CDG is about the worst airport for connections in Europe.

Amsterdam by a long shot. Easier to navigate, better food, great area for resting upstairs. There are about 150 chairs to recline and rest between flights.

John my friend......nobody needs to know about those comfortable chairs upstairs. Let's let that be our little secret;)

Great feedback-particularly about those comfortable chairs since every traveler knows those are a rare find! I will remember where to find them. Thanks everyone.

I just got back from a trip yesterday to Nuremberg and Prague. Going over we changed planes at CDG and I will never, ever go through that airport again if I can help it. The baggage handlers put wrong luggage on our flight and it had to be resorted, then there was a hook on the door for the baggage area that was frozen and they had to have a mechanic fix it then we waited over an hour in line just to be de-iced. We sat on a plane for over four hours while they fumbled around. I really didn't find changing terminals all that bad but no one working there seemed to have much of a clue or interest in helping people (a lot of this was from observation). We have been through most all of the major airports in Europe and Amsterdam is much better than Charles deGaulle. That has been the worst.

Hands down Amsterdam. In 2008 my son and I flew into Paris and out of Amsterdam. Paris (Charles de Gaulle) was galling, dirty awful, no customer service, just plain yucky. Don't get me wrong I loved Paris and France, but not the airport and that was at the beginning of our trip when we were fresh!!! When we arrived at Amsterdam what a difference, friendly, organized and clean. Hope this Helps Kelly
