Wherer to stay in Paris?

Would like recommendation on a good hotel to stay in the heart of Paris. A place that is reasonable in price & clean. Some place close to The American Church of Paris on 65 Quai d'Orsay as we are attending a wedding at the church.

Aha, a place that's clean. Now that presents a problem.

A three star hotel, in the Left Bank, en suite bath. Cool, cool neighborhood, Hotel le Regent. A four star in the same area, Hotel d'Aubusson.

As suggested earlier, Rick lists several in the rue cler area. If you've never been there, do yourself a favor and GO! One newer hotel he may not mention is Hotel Cadran, 10 rue champ du mars, just a short block from RS famous Cafe du Marche. http://www.paris-hotel-cadran.com

Marie has suggested two GREAT choices,, I have stayed in the first , and dream of staying in the second. Both are in what I consider a nicer area then Rue Cler too.

I wouldn't worry about staying right by church,, just get a taxi.

I stayed at the Hotel du Cadran, which is located next door to Cafe du Marche, not a block away. It was a nice place to stay for my first visit. I booked it through Expedia 4 years ago and got a good deal...stay 4 nights and get the 5th night free.

We always stay in the Rue Cler when we go. It is a great location and very close to the American Church (which we have been to.)

We loved Hotel Relais Bosquet clean, great location, friendly and helpful staff. We have also stayed at Hotel Kinsington. This hotel has really small rooms. But they are clean and in a great location also.

We are staying in Rue Cler in June again this time with our 2 kids and are renting an apartment.

There are many more Rue Cler hotels in rick's book. When he says the front desk is a little grumpy or the beds are lumpy... then that's the truth. That's what we like about his books. I also now check with Slow-Travel and Trip Advisor to see what others have to say too.
