Economically, where would you suggest a family of five stay. Three members are in their early twenties; the other two are in their fifties. May be in Paris 2-3 days.
Thanks
I would suggest any of the hotels Rick recommends in the rue Cler area -- or the Marias (if you want to be a bit more in the middle of the "action").
For a group of five, an apartment would be more economical. While many require a seven night minimum, it's possible to find some that require only three nights. We recently used vacationinparis.com and were really pleased. It's worth looking in to.
I would agree with the other poster- an apartment is the best way to go, especially with five people. Two other good websites are: www.vrbo.com and one that we have rented from: http://phileas-fogg.com
the owner of this website is Philippe, a very nice man, who has other apartments to suggest. A seven day stay used to be required, but more recently, this has relaxed a bit. Good luck!
Hi Mark,
From all I have read on the Internet, the small, old Hotel Esmeralda (just across the Seine from Notre Dame Cathedral) is incredibly interesting. I recommend you find it on the Internet and read the reviews of hotel guests. Because of the reasonable prices charged, it is apparently necessary to book well in advance.
Keep on traveling !
