We are going to Normandy next weekend with three kids. Only have two days. Where can we stay relatively inexpensively and close to the D-Day beaches and cemetary?

We stayed at Hotel Le Bayeux. It is only a block or so from the cathedral, walking distance to everything in town, and clean and quite reasonable. The hosts are very welcoming.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel le Lion d'Or last Sept. It is a very nice place and has an excellent dining room. Even if you don't stay there, I highly recommend that you have dinner there one of your nights. Also, breakfast is included when you stay. www.liondor-bayeux.fr Ashley

The Hotel Churchill was a nice place in Bayeux - right in the center - nice friendly staff. The town is really great and not very big so easy to walk around
