where to stay in Mainz to get on Rhine Cruise early

I was going to stay in Frankfurt (WHAT was I thinking?) but am now going to change to an overnight in Mainz. We are catching the early boat on the Rhine River cruise. Any suggestions on where to stay within walking distance of the boat dock?
