My wife & I will be visiting Brussels for her 50th birthday and are looking for a good place to eat and stay. Any ideas? We will be there for two nights.
It will help us a lot to give recommendations if you give us some idea of your budget for food/accomodation. A place I like eating in Brussels is La Grande Porte in the Marolles area (circa 20-30 Euros). If you want to spend a bit more I'd recommend Aux Armes de Bruxelles or Vincent in the rue des Bouchers area (but no other restaurants in that street).
Good point regarding the price. I'm thinking less than 120 euros for a place to stay and around 20 euros for a restaurant. Thanks.
For a hotel we liked Les Ecrins - not fancy but nice and near public transportation or a short walk to the Grand Place. We were upgraded to an apartment which was very nice! For a restaurant we liked Fin de Siecle - we found Brussels to be an expensive restaurant city!
