Need help on where to stay in Bruges - - any suggestions?
Nancy
We stayed at Absolut Verholst (sp???) B&B. It's in Rick's book. They were extremely helpful when I messed up my reservation, and packed us a to go breakfast the day we left. It's in a 400 year old house that's easy walking to everything.
Nancy- Check out De Drie Koningen at http://www.kanthuisje.com/d3kon/ We have stayed there twice, in two different apartments, and loved it.
We stayed at Nicky's B&B last month and had a fine experience: http://www.ganzespel.be/
It's on a quiet street about 10 minutes from Markt/Burg, in good condition, and clean. I read another comment that the ground-floor restaurant was noisy but we didn't have that issue on a Friday and Saturday night in mid-April.
We originally reserved the blue room (possibly pic 2) but someone stayed late so we got the 'suite' (pic 1) for 50 euros/night.
Not a bad deal.
Everyone here will probably recommend a different hotel, so let me give my vote, Hotel Adornes:
Best feature of the hotel? Free, unlimited use of the hotel's bicycles, 24 hours a day.
Hi Nancy:
I stayed at B & B Gheeraert 8 years ago
The address is Ridderstraat 9. Rooms are very decent & breakfast is included. Owners speak English. The e-mail that I have is [email protected]. When you are planning to go, if you want to stay for a weekend I advice to book in advance as the place fill up quickly. Seems that they are busy year round. Hope this helps.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. I'm sure one of these will do for us. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

I am staying here in September - my cousin recently returned and loved it.
The dog is in the movie "In Bruges"
We stayed at the 't Geerwijn B&B (I never figured out how to pronounce it - names that begin with an apostrophe followed by a single consonant have always given me trouble...). It's in Rick's book. We loved the place. Get the top floor A-frame room if you can.
