Where to spend Christmas in Spain

We are going to visit our daughter over the Christmas Holiday. She will be in San Sebastian. We have about two weeks in Spain. Where would you suggest spending Christmas?

We spent Christmas 2008 in Spain at the end of our daughter's study abroad experience in Segovia. We spent our time in central and southern Spain. The Christmas lights in all of the cities we visited were spectacular (Madrid, Segovia, Seville, Granada). We attended Christmas Eve Mass at the HUGE cathedral in Seville.

One advantage of being in southern Spain that time of year is that we had sunny, warm weather (mid-60's).

Spending Christmas in Spain was a wonderful experience for our family.

Thanks so much for the info. I have heard from others about how wonderful Seville is - and that is a good point about the weather. I will look to see how that may work with our plans.

thanks,

Tricia

We spent 2 Christmases in southern Spain, near Marbella, and really enjoyed it. And as Arlyce says, the weather in the south is usually mild (although it can get chilly- take a coat and sweater).
We went to Granada for the big festival of the Three Kings, it's the Epiphany. It's when the kids get their presents. I think every city in Spain has a parade. Really worth seeing!
