Where to observe the incoming tide at Mont St. Michel, France

We will be visiting the Abbey during a period of the highest tides. Does anyone know of a good vantage point to watch the tide come in (from 6PM to 8PM)? With the new construction, we are not sure. We will be driving so we will need to park. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
