Trying to figure out how to optimize a few days there, using public transit. Neuschwanstein paragliding is the only must. Otherwise, would enjoy beautiful scenery, charming villages, a castle or two. Suggestions, as well as info on how to find bus schedules would be much appreciated.
The German Rail (Bahn) website will show buses as well as trains. If you know individual bus route numbers, which you can find here (note: 9606 goes from GaPa via Oberammergau to Wieskirche and on to Hohenschwangau and Füssen), you can find that buses schedule. For example, here is the schedule for bus 9606. For others, substitute the bus number for '9606' in the above address. There is nothing about paragliding that is unique to Füssen. There are plenty of things you can't do anywhere else, but paragliding isn't one of them.
Thanks, I understand, but there isn't anyplace I will be (or for that matter, have been) where I can try it and I figure I'm getting too old to keep putting things off. Thank you for the bus info. I'm going to post another message asking for feedback suggestions on whether my tentative itinerary sounds doable. Would really appreciate it if you could comment/help.
