Can yhou recommend a tour company in Barcelona that can accommodate a person in a wheelchair? The chair folds. Thank you.
I don't know about Barcelona, but a friend of mine writes a website about traveling in a wheelchair and one of his destinations was Madrid. I would think some of the info would be similar, as far as getting around and how accessable Spain makes things. Maybe this will help. Other than that, perhaps contact the Tourist info in Barcelona and ask. http://www.wheeladventure.com/WA_Destinations/WA_EuropeDn/WA_MadridDn/index.htm
Thank you for your reply. I am interested in a guided tour. It is my mother who is in the wheelchair and we are very limited in our time. I think we can see more if we are guided rather than wandering. Thank you very much for taking time to answer.
Contact the regular walking tour companies that offer tours in Barcelona and ask them. Most walking tours only cover flat ground, so should be very wheelchair friendly. Plus, they are a bargain. If you think a private tour would match your schedule better, the same companies will offer private tours.
