My last trip to europe was mostly hiking and sight seeing so I wore lots of shorts and t-shirts. I'll be in Paris in september (my second trip) and am planning on more easy going exploring and trying to blend in than seeing the sights. What type of clothes should one pack for this type of excursion into Paris in the fall?
Don't forget sweaters, jacket and umbrella.
That's when we usually go (or October) and my husband brings button down shirts, a light sweater (like merino wool), and either dockers type pants (for day), or dress pants (for dinner). He brings a sport coat for nicer restaurants (any that have a Michelin star) if that's on your agenda. Sometimes he's the only one NOT in a proper suit but it's hard to travel with a suit, and he doesn't feel out of place. If you're planning on going to clubs, art galleries, etc, you might think about something slightly hipper.
