I saw the thread about what to wear in Paris at the end of Sept....well what about in Normandy at the beginning of Oct? I will be traveling to France and staying in Paris at the end of Sept, then heading to the Normandy region (Bayeux) at the beginning of October. I'm thinking fleece jacket with a water repellent shell, knit cap, maybe lightweight gloves, long sleeve shirt? Thanks.
I would say that's overdoing it. You'll need to keep dry, but I doubt you'll need a hat and gloves.
That'll do it.
Get one of those cold, wet, blowing, sleeting days (like last October) and you'll both wish to hell you had that hat to pull down over your ears. It ain't that heavy or bulky.
And if you plan to go to, oh, say, a beach... it's colder near the water!
