Anyone have any suggestions on sites they enjoyed in the Lorraine region?
Thanks!
JUlie, sorry I can't help with ideas from my own experiences,, but I did google "Lorraine Tourist Sites" and found many pages of ideas..
Also, perhaps you will have more luck over at the tripadvisor.com France Forums. They are alot more inclusive then RS... and more people go on them, so you will likely have better luck finding someone who has actually stayed in region and can give direct ideas. Best luck.
PS.. Just so you know, I love this site,, and RS,, but there are other forums that sometimes are more help in some areas.. I do not suggest them to replace using this forum , but to complement.
Nancy is a gem of a small city, especially if you like Art Nouveau. It has other attractions like renaissance churches and an extremely beautiful central square, Place Stanislaus (18th C.). There are several museums, including that of the Ecole de Nancy (Art Nouveau). At the restaurant Excelsior Flo you can eat amid the A.N. decor without breaking your budget. As I recall, everything is either within walking distance or accessible by public transport.
Eat quiche? ;-)
Don't forget to go nextdoor to the Alsace! It's awesome!
