What to cut out?

Flying into and out of Muninch in Mid-May with my husband ( neither have been to Europe ).

We want to see:
Munich/Dachau/Neuschwanstein
Cinque Terre
Berner Oberland
Florence/Tuscany
Venice

I have been told this is too much. What do I cut out? Is Salzburg just as beautiful as Berner Oberland area? It seems like train travel to Switzerland is not easy or quick. . .any thoughts?

How many days do you have? Also check TUIfly.com, Germanwings.com, Airberlin.com for cheap one-way flights from Venice back to Munich, which could save you at least a day...

As Andreas asked, how long do you have? If time is a consideration, I would probably cut the Berner Oberland, mainly because it lies outside your main route of travel, it is VERY EXPENSIVE, and you'll see the Alps in Southern Bavaria and on your way to Italy. Yes, the Berner Oberland is more scenic, but the Bavarian and Italian Alps are pretty amazing in their own right.

Salzburg and the Berner Oberland are VERY different. The mountains near Salzburg are fairly low, and the area is far more urban. The Berner Oberland is more rustic (with the exception of Interlaken).

I went to both last summer. Unfortunately it rained while we were in Salzburg so I probably didn't get the most experience. Berner Oberland is beautiful and I would have picked that over any other location.
