Hi: . I would like to get reservations from Lucerne to Interlaken Ost. and was wondering what your suggestions would be as to where to book the seats - front or back, left or right. Thanks for your help.

I really would not bother with reservations, the trains run hourly and if you are boarding in Lucerne you are at the start of the route. Seating I prefer left hand side of the train leaving Lucerne facing front. You are on the lake side as the train runs along Lake Lucerne. Then if you can move across to the right hand side until Meiringen, then as the train reverses change seats and remain on the right hand side for the run along the side of Lake Brienz to Interlaken. I'm not even sure if you can book seats other than in the panoramic coaches, and these are not really worth the extra money, you just get a better view of the sky.
