What is your favorite walking tour company in Paris?

Do you prefer Classic Walks, Paris Walks, or some other?

Thanks.

I've taken Paris Walks numerous times on numerous trips to Paris. I love the walk in the Montemartre area although I could probably give it myself by this point! It's wonderful to see the area 'behind the scenes'. They go rain or shine, 2 hour walk for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Hi Cecily,
... You could do the tour yourself without aid of a tour company. I know just the book to use for that. It is "Pariswalks" by Alison and Sonia Landis (long time Paris residents). My copy is the Revised Edition printed in 1999. Your local bookstore could get you a copy. Maybe Coral Gables Public Library has one.

Here's how the CONTENTS reads: Introduction / brief chronology of Paris, Tips,
WALK ONE: Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre, WALK TWO: La Huchette, WALK THREE: Saint-German-des-Prés. WALK FOUR: rue Mouffetard. WALK FIVE: Place des Vosges. WALK SIX: rue des Francs-Bourgeois. WALK SEVEN: Bastille to Eglise Saint-Gervais.
Then there is a special section on Cafés, Restaurants and Hotels.
... Using Pariswalks (306 pages) as your guide, you will experience many things a tourguide would probably fail to mention ... Hope your holiday is wonderful!
... bon voyage! P
