Can anyone tell me what the white milky liquid that the African ladies sell in the re-used water bottles and freezer bags around the Paris Château-d'Eau Metro Station is? Do I buy some and drink it? Or put it on pasta? Or is it for skin care? Thanks.
If it's what I've seen around St-Denis, I was told that it was a de-pigmentation concoction to lighten the skin. Probably a bleach/soap/whatever else awful mix...
It is called Kisiri, and is a homemade alcoholic drink made from cassava, favored by certain African cultures.
