what book inspired a French food pilgrimage?

Many of us have the Must Sees for a visit to France or Paris. I wondered if a book gave you a "i must eat there" or a "i must eat that " feeling. I still dream of eating at La Couronne in Rouen where Julia Child had her 1948 "epiphany" as described in her autobiography MY LIFE IN FRANCE.

I love to read Patricia Wells cookbooks before going to France. There is one on Provence and one on Paris: The Paris Cookbook. She publishes recipes from restaurants, and gives the address of the restaurants, so you can go. Her website is also great--she lists restaurants and reviews them.

Also, The Barefoot Contessa inParis is great, because she discusses retaurants and lists a lot of great food places, like Dehillerans, to visit.
