We are traveling to Wengen tomorrow and it looks like several days of rainy weather. Any suggestions on day trips when the hiking is a bit wet. Thanks so much.

We were just there in early June and our weather was not great but we made the best of it. Wengen is so beautiful! If your hotel does not have a pool you will find one in Murren. We did a cruise on Lake Brienz, visited Ballenburg Folk Park, and went to Bern. Our trip up to the Schiltorn was a bit shrouded in clouds but we enjoyed it. We hiked in drizzle and it was not a bad hike-one from Ahlmenbuhl down to Murren-very pretty. Enjoy!

I was in Wengen last year with two young adult children and it was rainy - not a downpour though- just spitting off and on. We did the Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg walk anyway with raingear and we still had a good time. Then we did the funny putt putt at night. I also recommend the Ballenberg museum which is down the mtn just beyond Brienz. Hotel Barren was a great dinner !
