I know they are all different. We are traveling with our 3 teenagers and I am the only one who has been to Switzerland and it was Lucerne 25 years ago! So, We have 2 1/2 days to experience the beauty and I am wondering which way to go?
I just remember the peaceful, gorgeous setting and want them to experience this. We would like to go to the top of one of the mountains and hike a bit, relax and enjoy some nice meals.
Susie, there are lots of places in Switzerland that fit your description. We have taken teens to several of them and they loved each one. Perhaps you could say where you are coming from, and where you are heading next, and then it would be easier to suggest a peceful. gorgeous place with some hikig that would fit your overall travel plans.
I'm curious how you came up with Iseltwald for your list? A lovely small village on the lake (Brienzersee) but not well known.
We will be coming from Amsterdam by train and heading to Vienna for a flight to Greece after Switzerland. Our main trip is to Greece, but I thought since we had a free stopover I wanted my family to see Switzerland!
I picked this are from info I gathered. Friends stayed in Iselwalt and loved it.
Having never been to this area it is hard to decide! I think Interlaken is too touristy ...but as for the others I am torn. All 3 cities have been recommended to us.
