Hello everybody! I plan on spending a weekend in Barcelona while studying in France next summer. I'd like to soak up as much of the Spanish culture as I can while I'm there. Does anybody have any suggestions for an itinerary?

Caroline, I was there a year 1/2 ago, and we had only 3 days. On the plane we sat next to a woman who lived in Barcelona and she suggested the Hop On/ Hop Off bus. The bus not only gave you a bird's eye view of the city, but dropped you off at the attractions. The bus also gave you an idea how the city is laid out as well.
We also took in a game of futbol (Soccer). What a rush, even in the nosebleed seats! And while in Barcelona, we did the tapas crawl.... soaking up the wonderful foods and wine/sangria at various restaruants.

Apart from that, you should check out the bars in the Gothic Quarter, the beach, the boho vibe in Gracia, etc. Have fun!
