Any experience planning a wedding for Americans living in the USA but wanting a wedding in Heidelberg?

Just a church wedding or the license too? If neither one of you is a resident or citizen of Germany, it gets very difficult.
If just a church wedding is all you want, you might get in contact with the churches that are located in Heidelberg. Perhaps get in contact with ones on base, who can direct you to other English speaking ministers or rabbis or priests. They may even have some tips for you.
Getting the license is such a pain, that many foreigners living in Germany head up to Denmark to get married, as then they don't have to get everything translated, or they fly to Las Vegas.
