What I have to recommend is right across the street from the train station as you exit on Kirchenallee. I stayed here last July...Hotel Furst Bismarck, a 3 star hotel located on Kirchenallee 49. Tel. # 040/2801091. Very clean and appropriate.
There are other two star hotels in the immediate area, which are cheaper but with a small child Hotel Furst Bismarck is a much better setting...the S-Bahn and U-Bahn Stationen are at the train station. There is also a breakfast buffet, which is extra. The other 3 star hotel in the immediate area and nearby is Hotel Graf Moltke...a little cheaper but I didn't stay there.
