Walking the Jura Hohenweg

Hello All, I'm planning to walk this route next June and have only a 21 year old guidebook to rely on. Some of the lodgings mentioned in the book don't exist anymore, and I'm having difficulty finding alternatives. Does anyone have any recent experience with this or a similar route? I'm particularly concerned about whether I need to book in advance to avoid large unplanned hotel bills, or whether I can be more spontaneous without risk of major regrets. Thanks, Geoff

Geoff, I notice you didn't get any replies so, since I speak German, I looked up the Jura Hohenweg (actually Hoehenweg - the extra "e" stands for the umlaut) on google. There is a really great website. The walk is broken down by days and for each day, they mention rest stops (some with restaurants) or lodging for several locations/stops/towns on the route. Quite of few of them have links to websites. Perhaps you can find someone in your area to help you with translations, maybe a local high school teacher, college professor or native German/Swiss. Best of luck, this sounds like a fabulous undertaking.
