My boyfriend and I are planing a trip to Wacken in Germany in August. We are firt time travelers. We plan to stay in Germany for a week then Amsterdem. Any suggestions that might help I would really appreciate it. E.I. Airpots, transportation, and places to stay.

The only Wacken that I can find is a small town north of Hamburg. I checked the www.bahn.de site and it is serviced by bus from Hamburg, which has an airport.
**You might have trouble finding a hotel listing on line. I could not find one at hotel.de which often covers smaller towns; there are a couple in the area. With the distance to a hotel and no train service, you might want to consider a rental car.
