I understand that there are day bike tours from Vienna to the wachau region. My friends are interested in visiting the vineyards but we do not have enough time to spend a full day on the tour. Is it possible for tourists to visit these vineyards without joining any tour groups? And are there any particular vineyards which you would recommend? Thank you.
