voltage converter needed in Bordeaux, France

Ask at your hotel. They probably known where you can get one.

Auchan (the giant super Wal-Mart type store) has almost anything on earth. It's a couple of blocks from the Musee des Beaux Arts on the tram line. Fnac, on St. Catherine, is more like a bookstore/electronics store, and they should either carry the converter or be able to tell you where on the main drag you can find them. Bonne chance!

I bought one last year in Bordeaux at a Circuit-City style store. It was within walking distance of the train station, in a downtown area where heavy road construction was going on. I found it by accident when I was on the way to an outdoor outfitting store.

I'm sorry that I can't remember the store's name, but it had a good selection of converters. Perhaps as someone suggested you can ask your hotel staff about it, or check in with the tourist office at the train station. Good luck!
