Is it possible to reach the Saalburg fort via public transport from Frankfurt? Pointers to resources will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

If you really mean Saalburg-Kastell, near Bad Homburg, it is very accessible by public transportation from Frankfurt Hbf. It takes less than an hour. Take and S-Bahn to Homburg and a bus to near the castle. There might be a short walk from the bus to the castle. Use the German Rail (Bahn) website to find schedules. For the destination, use "Bad Homburg, Saalburg Kastell".
