We woud love to visit St. Denis from Paris since it's on the Metro. How long does it take to get there from Paris?

It's been a long time since I took in St Denis, but it only took about 20 minutes max to get there as I recall. Whatever, it was great.I have been telling people for years to go and see it and I don't quite understand why it isn't mentioned more in guide books. I'm really into history and had done a lot of reading about French history before the trip, so it really meant a lot. The basilica was free, but to tour the crypt you had to pay. We also rented an audioguide that was very good. I don't know if it's still there, but there was a Paul bakery stand at the St Denis metro station that sold great pastries. Enjoy!

You've got a great memory, John. According to RATP is takes 22 minutes to get from Invalies to St. Denis. This definitely makes the list to go visit.
