Any thoughts on visiting a bull farm in Spain? Would that be a fun experience for kids (12 & 9). What does the visit usually involve?
also recommendations for specific farms to visit. We're going to be in Granada, Sevilla, costa del sol and will have a rental car. Opinions re visiting the Royal Andalusian school of equestrian art in Jerez de la frontera? thnks
I don't know anything about bull farms, but there is an Andalusian horse farm open to visitors near Cordoba: http://www.yeguadaalmuzara.com/ However, their activities seem more geared to adults, with things like wine tasting and flamenco. We attended a horse performance in Cordoba itself, in a small arena in the royal stables. it was fantastic-- a wonderful display of equitation skills and the athleticism of the horses. http://english.turismodecordoba.org/esta-semana.cfm?idnoticia=10638 The performance is clalled "the passion and spirit of teh Andalusian horse" and it is aptly named. The horses mostly performed individually, although some were accompanied by a woman dancing in flamenco dress, which was a bit. . . something. But for 15 euros it was a great experience for anyone who loves or admires these beautiful horses.
