Vineyard visits in October in Cassis or Bandol France

do you have a suggestion for a vineyard to visit in Cassis area or in BNandol France? Thank you!

There are vineyards in Cassis, but just as an FYI, that area is not exactly known for their wine. IT's fine - the best of it tends to be dry roses followed by dry whites - but it's not considered to be especially great French wine. Bandol is a bit more well-known for their wine, but since I haven't been, I can't recommend a winery specifically. But I'd focus there as opposed to Cassis.

I agree with Sarah that Cassis wines are generally not all that exciting, but exceptions can be found, especially in their whites. We visited Domaine de la Ferme Blanche, on the outskirts of the town of Cassis, and enjoyed their wines very much. And when we were in the area we visited a Bandol producer, Domaine Bunan (http://www.bunan.com/), whose wines were outstanding. But there are hardly any bad Bandol producers; the reds and roses are especially good. The main "problem" with the reds is that they often are extremely tannic and austere when young, and getting to try older vintages is not always easy.

Thank you so much for your information. We may visit both vineyards!
