Going with a group of photographers and would like to find a vineyard near Vienna for wine tasting and possibly a wonderful dinner...any ideas? Or should we be looking for beer in Austria???

Lots of vineyards in the Melk and Krems route along the Danube River. Wonderful opportunity for photography, but you'll have to rent a car to get there.
Vienna has wineries in the center of the city, but not really vineyards.
It is a beautiful route getting to Melk and Krems. Have a great trip!

WE stayed overnight outside of Vienna in this wonderful wine village, Gumdrop something. It is wonderful. We also stayed in a castle in the Wachau valley. That place has wonderful wine. They also feature apricot necktars. Its great
