Any suggestions for a day trip from Paris to get a taste of the wine country? It looks as if the Champagne region might work ~ or possibly combining a vineyard visit with the Loire chateau day trip I previously asked about. I realize this isn't the ideal way to do it; but we'll be based in Paris with no car, so would need to use trains or train-plus-car rental. Any advice appreciated.
