Villefranche sur Mer hotels?

Any recommendations on hotels or B&B's in Villefranche sur Mer (French Riviera)?
Thanks,

We were enthusiastic about the Hotel Patricia after reading many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were shut out by the Monaco Gran Prix. It has a great location.

We spent three days there last summer. We stayed at the Hotel de la Darse, which we thought was fine, but you do have to walk all around the sea wall (rough stones)that goes around the castle to get there. The Hotel Welcome looked good, but overlooks a noisy square on weekends. Whatever you do, if you arrive by train take the path that goes back over the tracks and into town - it's a long ramp, while other routes have lots of stairs and you have to go right through the main road downtown.

Make sure you eat at Le Nautic. We enjoyed our meal there in April 2006 and they gave us a print of the restaurant, which we had framed when we got home. Everytime I look at it I savor the memory.

We have stayed four times at the Hotel de la Darse. Reasonably priced, very clean, English spoken, easy to get to. If you are arriving by car just drive all the way down to the bottom of Avenue de General De Gaulle. If arriving by local bus walk down the same road. If arriving by train, you can walk the sea path or take a taxi. The woman who owns the hotel is extremely helpful, and all the staff are very nice. They don't mind if you practice your French on them either!
