Anybody visited Vienne? I'm staying in Lyon for a week and guide books have very mixed opinions about whether it's worth the journey.
We stayed overnight a couple of years ago and were very impressed with the Roman ruins and the setting. Additionally, we had a good meal with an excellent bottle of one of the nearby Rhone wines but can't remember which one.
