the train is quicker and much more frequent.

It's probably also much cheaper to travel by train. Long-distance bus routes are not as popular or necessary in Western Europe as they are elsewhere.

Thanks for the input, everyone! I just wanted to make sure that going by train was indeed better than going by bus...because I am on a very tight budget.

I actually am saving money AND time by taking a bus from Prague to Vienna...however, as stated in this thread, it is indeed better to take the train in this case.
