In late September 2 of us will be travelling from Vienna to Florence? We have not found a less than 10 hour travel time between the 2. It looks like a night train or fly, we are not interested in driving. Any suggestions or knowlege of the best way to get to Florence from Wien? Danke!

Kat, from the German rail site, it appears that you are correct. Our experience is that the Austrian trains run much like Amtrak, generally late. Swiss, French, Italian, and British seem to adhere to schedule, not the Austrian.
