I am wanting to drive by car from Vienna to Civitavecchia Italy and have about 10 days. I believe I should see Salsburg and Milan and the northern Italian coast. I don't want to visit Florence or Rome as I will be doing that on another trip. Does anyone have an idea of a good travel route, hotels and or a good travel agent who could assist me with my bookings?

... above is "via michelin" web site... You could plan your trip in detail there no matter what the mode of transit (including afoot)... You can get a plan for backroads or otherwise - or combination...
