Next week September 26 through the 29th Wednesday through Friday. All the Budget/value hotels I was looking at are mostly booked and/or others using various travel websites are more than I wish to spend (Around $125 a night). I am just a single traveler looking for a basic single room with or without it's own WC? Would the TI office be more of a help than in finding a room then endlessly searching the same Internet deals or will they also use internet search engines to find a me a location. I have time as I will be arriving in the City center around noon from my overseas flight.

Hi, In the Westbahnhof (west train station) area are numerous hotels, Pensionen, such as Hargita, as mentioned above, as well as three hostels. all within walking distance from the station. The new Motel One with cheap rates is connected to the station.

To answer your question, the local TI will have access to other hotels than those listed on the web. There is a cost associated with being list on the internet and through various search engines.
