I am sure I read this some place. We leave next week. We will be in Vienna for several days and want to explore Grinzing. We will be in the central section of Vienna. What is the best way to get there by public transit?

Very easy. Walk to the "Schottentor" tram stop (on the ring across from the Votivkirche. The stop is in a little plaza that is below street level) and catch the 38 tram. The 38 tram line ends in Grinzing.

Diana, Depending on how far you are in the central section of Vienna from Schottentor, you can take U-2 to get there, and, as suggested above, then take the #38 tram to Grinzing.
