Will be in Wien for four nights after four in Praha. Any advice on using the touristy Vienna Card (with transit pass option) vs just the 3-day transit pass would be appreciated. Is the more costly Vienna card worth the extra cost? We will use public transit each day, but would likely visit only some of the discounted sites on the Vienna card. Thanks, Paul

3 day pass is the best thing. The discounts the Vienna Card offers are really not that great. You can purchase this at any of the machines in the Ubahn stations. Make sure to validate it!

We just got the transportation pass. It was my estimation (like yours) that we would not visit enough museums to get our money's worth out of the Vienna Pass. Especially as we had the transportation pass, we hopped on & off the subway system all day.
