Hi! Although I've never stayed at Pension Suzanne, a friend did when visiting us and said it is good. The price is low considering its central location.

Eating: I always recommend that visitors eat at the Zwoelf Apostles Keller (twelve apostles cellar) it is a heuriger-type wine tavern located in some ancient wine cellars. It attracts a local as well as a tourist crowd. Prices are inexpensive by first district standards. Most evenings they have a violinist and an accordian player strolling among the tables. Although there are a few levels to the cellar, I find that the top level is the best. Hope you like it!

Off the radar screen sights: If you like history, the Roman museum has been recently upgraded and is worth a visit if you are into that. It's a small museum but gives you the background on how Vienna started as a Roman military encampment. The museum includes a visit to an actual Roman officer's house, excavated below the modern streets of Vienna. Cool! "The City of Vienna Museum" by Karl's platz also gives a lot of background on the history of the city. In July, they should already have the big screen up in front of city hall...they project operas onto the screen and there are food and drink booths and its just a very cool way to spend a pleasant summer's evening in Vienna. Another idea is to take the D Tram to its end (going north). From there you can walk/hike into the hillside vineyards that hug the city to the north and west. Nice views of the Danube from up there. If the weather is really nice, take the U-1 metro to Donauinsel for sun bathing and swimming (yes, people swim in the Danube. It's clean!) At the same metro stop you'll also see that a string of restaurants and clubs has sprung up on the eastern shore (called "Copa Cagrana") it's kind of a hip and trendy place for young people to party. Well, have a good visit! I love this city! Happy travels!
