Any recommendations for a B&B in Vienna?
Hi Mark,
... we've never used a B&B in Vienna, but we have taken rooms a few times at two pensions: (1) Pension Nossek and (2) Pension Pertschy. You can access web sites of both on the Internet, if you have an interest. These are located in the Ten-Ten area of the Alt Stadt. We suspect that B&B's which are located away from the hub are a bit less costly.
... Gute Reise!... P
B&Bs are called pensions in German speaking countries. Couple years ago we stayed in Pension Nossek. Very classy, right on Graben in the very center of Old Town Vienna. In tourist information office in Vienna they have a list of many pensions in the city.

I went last year and stayed at Pension Suzanne *mentioned in Rick Steves' Book. http://www.pension-suzanne.at/
I absolutely loved the location. It is very near the Opera House and a Metro Stop, which makes it so much easier after you spend all day walking and just want to get back to your room ASAP. The rooms are on several floors but there is an elevator. The breakfast was good and the hosts were very kind. Last year, I paid 98 Euro per person. I normally don't like to pay so much for a room, but it was a nice splurge and the sheets and beds were so comfy.
