We will be spending 3 days each in Vienna and Salzburg the week after Thanksgiving. Other than the Christmas markets, what suggesstions do you have? We have been to both places several times, but not this late in the year.

From Salzburg you could do a day trip to Bavaria or to the Salzkammergut area (the lake region).

Check out www.viator.com, where you can search for tours and day trips from the areas you mentioned. There appears to be many interesting trips from Salzburg of palaces, Rothenburg, etc. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Toni,
We liked Baden bei Wien in the summer and feel it would be interesting as a day trip from Vienna in November, too. It's an easy trip by the Badener Bahn. You could "google" Baden bei Wien for details - and decide. Gute Reise! P.
