We will be arriving at the Vienna airport late in the evening (10:30pm) in September. What would be the best way to get into town: taxi, airport shuttle, train? Any suggestions?

The train is fast and convenient. I think there would be plenty of taxis around the train station in Vienna.

How many people are traveling? Taxi if more than two. Rick also recommends a particular cabbie in the Vienna section of his books.

Thanks for your reply, Chris. It appears that public transportation (the CAT express) does run though midnight from the airport to the city, so we will be able to make use of that. I was most concerned about our late arrival. The taxi will be our plan "B"
