We will be in Vienna only for one night in late June. We are looking for recommendations for lodging that would allow us to still savor our last night in Europe while having connection to a very early flight to London the next morning. We made the mistake of staying at an airport hotel in Frankfurt last summer and ended our trip in an Ibis dining room. Don't want to do that again.

Hotel Konig von Ungarn is a truly oldworld hotel but lovely, right in the shadow of St. Stephen's cathedral (hub of Vienna) and back to back with the Mozart house. Great breakfast, though you'd miss it to get to your early flight, I'm sure.

It's been a few years, but I can recommend Pension Suzanne, a small yet quite nice hotel located about half a block from the opera house. It's in an unremarkable building up a flight of stairs. Big, clean rooms and priced right. Check tripadvisor...good reviews and highly-rated. Location can't be beat.
