I'll be going to Vienna for 5 days. I am wondering if the Vienna Card is worthwhile, or if I should just get a regular metro pass. And, what are some of the "must-see" places? Thanks.
Kunsthistorisches Museum, Schoenbrunn Palace, Hofburg Palace.
I wish we had gone to the Belvedere Palace because of all the great art they have there, but sadly we did not make it to that one.
I didn't use the Metro a whole lot in Vienna. We used it to get from the Train station to the center of Vienna and then back out to the train station. So I don't know the cost of the Vienna card, but I doubt we would have gotten use of it.
Most everything we did - we walked. The Opera House, the Cathedral, the Koonst Museum (and rest of palace), the outdoor market and more...are all walkable. We did not however do the Schoenbrunn palace.
Secondly there is another thread somewhere where I put my top 10 things to do in Vienna. Another gentleman added his top 10. I tried to search it, but I am not good at searching this helpline. If anyone else can find it for Hunnie???
Hunnie,
here is a link for you which should answer all your questions, including what is included in the Vienna Card.
Have fun planning & plotting:
