My husband and I are going to Paris in October. We want to go to Mont-Saint-Michel. We would like to be picked up at our hotel as part of the tour. Are Viator or ParisVisions the right way to go?? Any suggestions?? Leslie
Viatour is not a tour company. They simply sell other companies tours,, so most times you can get tour cheaper booking directly with company,, but there are occaisons where they do have specials and you can get tour cheaper. ParisVisions and Cityrama are the two main big bus tour companies in Paris and reliable, they are in fact owned by same company , so offer similar products and prices. They do however also have specials, so visit their websites and compare prices,, and with Viatour and just pick cheapers. The daytrip to MSM is a LONG day, and part of the problem is its dark out by 5 or so,, so you don't even get to enjoy much scenerey on trip back,, but on flip side, you don't have to drive or think, so can sleep.. LOL MOst of the tour companies will pick up at hotel and drop you off, for an EXTRA fee.. its usually better to just go to office meeting point if trying to save money. There is one other well known( in Europe anyways) tour company, Paris Tourism,, and their tours are a bit cheaper,, I haven't used them, but a friend did and was as satisfied as one can be with the product. I say that because, really ,MSM is best done as an overnight, but I realize one does not always have the time for that.
